Don't vote Milburn

With this site, I try to be fairly neutral. It was set up as an attempt to get Alan Milburn to communicate better what he does for the people of Darlington, by encouraging him to set up his own blog (or take over this one). Despite a few posts hereby his staff, he's failed to do this. (He has a Blackberryhand-held email device, so he could post from that, it wouldn't take up much of his time).

Don't vote Milburn is a less neutral site...

(The link to here from that site, is slightly wrong; this site is nothing to do with local party workers, other than the posts by Kath.) He's fixed this now.

I think this 'Don't vote milburn' site is awful, personally i feel that Alan is fantastic politician and the comments abour him wrong and unfair.

He seemed like a very nice chap when I met him.

Having £30,000 consultancy roles with large companies isn't the best way to appeal to the 'man on the street', however. It's not very 'socialist' either.

As author of www.dontvotemilburn.co.uk I have just been looking at www.keep-the-faith.org. It is the funniest thing I have come across for some time. It will not appeal to anyone but new labour toadies.
I make no apologies for the content of my website. I do, however, apologise to Mike for slightly misrepresenting his blogspot. This was corrected within minutes of recieving his e mail.
Alan Milburn may well be a nice chap to meet (though not all of his cabinet colleagues agree). I do not care, it is his politics that trouble me.

I take great offence to that comment about my Keep the Faith site, appealing to only Labour members - right so why then are there over 300 of the 1000 people on are mailing list, the people that have put hours of their time to help us with the camapign NOT i repeat NOT Labour voters!!! I've worked my ass off for the people of my community and have helped many improve there way of living, not to have YOU put down all the work i have done!!!

Interesting little spat this one. Kath is obviously very loyal to Milburn but I think she needs to open her eyes a bit.
Having looked at www.dontvotemilburn.co.uk I can not see anything in it that isn't true.
It seems a bit rich complaining about negative tactics when Alan Milburn has been spearheading an antisemitic campaign against Michael Howard portraying him as a Fagin like character and then as a pig. Although I am no Tory I thought this was pretty offensive stuff. A more appropriate poster would be Alan Milburn as a pig with his nose in a trough labelled Bridgepoint Capital/PPP and anyone else he has taken money from in return for policies.
In his own way Milburn and his cronies are as much as threat to the Labour party as militant tendency were in the 1980's.
You are clearly a very loyal and kind person Kath but I think you should let the scales drop from your eyes on this one and see Alan Milburn as he really is.

Please accept my aplogies for getting your name wrong.
I am conscious that we differ in our political views but do not wish to cause personal offense.
